The first DLC expansion for Forza Horizon 5 is apparently in testing and there’s evidence to suggest it could release very soon.
Two expansions were already confirmed for Forza Horizon 5, but Playground Games has yet to explain what they will actually bring to the game. If a recent discovery is accurate though, fans may learn about the first one very soon.
Recently, Twitter account Aggiornamenti Lumia, which tracks the Xbox Insider Hub, said that testing has now begun on Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion. For anyone unfamiliar with the Insider Hub, it offers early access and sneak peeks at upcoming Xbox content.
To be more precise, Microsoft is testing WOODSTOCK_DLC_FLIGHT, which sounds completely unrelated until you realise that Woodstock was the internal codename for Forza Horizon 5 while it was in development.
Aggiornamenti Lumia was unable to share any other details beyond that, so its content and release date remain a mystery. However, if it’s in the testing phase, that points to it being nearly completed.
In fact, there’s evidence to suggest that it could release as early as March. As industry analyst MauroNL points out on Twitter, previous Forza Horizon games saw their first DLC expansions release three months after launch.
Assuming Playground Games will repeat the same pattern, Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion could even release in February since the game launched in November.
With February nearly over, it’s more likely that the DLC will arrive in early March, unless Microsoft and Playground Games make a sudden announcement in the next three days.
