Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 is here, taking players away to Paradise. As always, a new season means an array of brand new content, with some old favorites sticking around. This includes map changes, new weapons, new items and more. Here is a breakdown of the main changes and new content in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4.
Fitting in with the Chrome theme is a new item and weapons. The Chrome Splash can be thrown at walls or structures, allowing you to phase through it. That is not the only use, as you can also throw down the Chrome Splash to “Chrome-ify” yourself. You’ll become pure Chrome for a short time, making you immune to fire damage. Also, you’ll become a blob while sprinting, which gives you a faster movement speed, fall damage immunity, and the ability to air dash.
In addition, the new EvoChrome Burst Rifle and EvoChrome Shotgun have joined the loot pool. You can find these guns in shiny Chrome chests, and their rarity will increase the more you damage your opponents with them. Take the weapon all the way from Uncommon to the deadly Mythic rarity.
As the Chrome spreads across the island, some points of interest have taken to the sky to try and find safety. This will take your battles to new heights, and you can use the D-Launchers around the island to help you get to this new high ground.
More notable new content in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 includes the introduction of keys. If you find a key, you can use it to open vaults full of loot. Once you pick up a key, you will see keyhole symbols on your map to help you locate the vaults. Low-Security Vaults can be opened with one key, while High-Security vaults need two keys.
