Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is finally here and is the second season to take place on the brand-new map that was introduced in December 2021. Prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed that building will be removed from Fortnite for one week, with many other leakers claiming it will be nine days. This makes sense as nine days from the start of Chapter 3, Season 2 is Tuesday, March 29, which should be the date of the first update of the season, the 20.10 patch.
It is worth noting that the removal of building only applies to regular public matches, which are matches played in Solos, Duos, Trios, or Squads. The building mechanic is still activated in Team Rumble, Creative, and Arena, which is Fortnite's competitive mode.
So, players that really don't enjoy the removal of building in Fortnite have options to still be able to use building in the game.
