This makes sense as nine days from the start of Chapter 3, Season 2 is Tuesday, March 29, which should be the date of the first update of the season, the 20.10 patch.

It is worth noting that the removal of building only applies to regular public matches, which are matches played in Solos, Duos, Trios, or Squads. The building mechanic is still activated in Team Rumble, Creative, and Arena, which is Fortnite's competitive mode.
