EA releases its FIFA 23 World Cup mode today, much to the excitement of football-loving gamers around the globe.
As well as allowing fans to play through the Qatar-hosted tournament for themselves, this new World Cup mode is also beefing out the FIFA 23 soundtrack with loads of new songs (in fact, you'll recognise many of these 'ultimate' tracks from previous FIFA games).
EA has also been trying to predict how the real-life tournament will go, using the game to simulate the results. They ultimately decided that Argentina will win, so make of that what you will!

The FIFA 23 World Cup mode will launch on 9th November 2022.
Fans will be able to download the update on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Sadly, there is no sign of the World Cup mode update launching on the Nintendo Switch version of the game, which seems unfair for those who prefer their FIFA on the go.
The FIFA 23 World Cup mode release time should be 6pm GMT on Wednesday 9th November.
No official release time has been given but 6pm is more often than not when FIFA 23 updates go live. Regardless, the free World Cup mode should be playable from 9th November. It's time to take England (or Wales, no bias here) all the way to the final.
