Though Far Cry 6 didn’t win any major awards for Game of the Year, an edition with the GOTY tag is still being released, and the price tag may be more than fans expected. On Friday, the Ubisoft game was placed in the Xbox Store and other digital retailers. The Far Cry 6 Game of the Year bundle comes with the base game, as well as the season pass, and all DLC. There will also be an expansion that has yet to be revealed by Ubisoft outside of its name, Lost Between Worlds.
For Xbox users that have pulled up the store, there was likely a shock at the price point for the Game of the Year edition. Far Cry 6 is listed at $119.99, doubling the price of the standard version upon initial release. The newest edition also dwarfs the Far Cry 6 deluxe ($79.99) and gold ($99.99) edition release prices.

The game was nominated for Best Performance (Giancarlo Esposito), Innovation in Accessibility, and Best Action Game, but didn’t take home any of the awards.
The $120 price tag has left a lot of people baffled. The standard edition of the game can be purchased for as low as $19.99 for a new copy in some stores, and even the gold edition on the Xbox Store is listed at $39.99 for Xbox Live Gold members and comes with all of the Far Cry 6 DLC content.
