A recently discovered Fallout 4 V.A.T.S. glitch has endowed a random headshot with the qualities of a launch pad, turning a raider’s head into a blood-powered rocket. Unfortunately, the Fallout series is no stranger to glitches and bugs, with Fallout 76 known for game-breaking problems. However, glitches can sometimes provide humorous relief from gritty gameplay, creating hilarious out-of-character moments for players.
While the Fallout series is known for its dark storylines, difficult gameplay, and grueling open-world exploration, sometimes bugs and glitches can get in the way of the primary objectives players are attempting to complete. Games like Fallout 76 are doing much better after numerous patches and updates, addressing problems like the dupe glitch that resulted in Bethesda disabling vending machines. Unfortunately, some of these issues have even created lasting effects on the in-game economy, or continue to impact negatively gameplay due to a lack of fixes.

In a recent post by Redditor ElGochoJuanPablo, a new headshot glitch involving Fallout 4's V.A.T.S. system has been shared with fans of the game. In a video, the player engages in a shootout with a group of raiders. While they manage to land precise revolver shots on most of the enemies in real-time Fallout 4 combat, the last standing opponent is hit with a perfectly aligned V.A.T.S. headshot. The bullet lands where the player is pointing, but with unexpected and gory results. The game’s physics glitch, and launch the raider’s head in the sky as a disturbing blood-powered rocket.
