Elon Musk has been at the center of controversy ever since he took over Twitter a few weeks ago. After the takeover, Musk has been firing employees from across different departments in various countries. He has also been firing engineers after they engaged with him on a verbal spat on Twitter. The latest one ended up in a verbal spat wherein Musk ended up with a sarcastic comeback.
In a tweet by Unusual Whales, it was said, “Elon has fired numerous employees who were critical of him on Twitter and the company's Slack, according to Protocal.” Musk came up with a reply to this tweet, saying, “I would like to apologize for firing these geniuses. Their immense talent will no doubt be of great use elsewhere.” While it sounded very “un-Elon” like at first, it was very easy to spot the sarcasm immediately.
That's not all though. A few days ago, Musk was involved in a spat with another Twitter employee who came up with suggestions regarding the Twitter app for Android. Eric Frohnhoefer, who was an engineer working on Twitter's app for the Android OS, had reposted one of Musk's tweets with a comment. He said that Musk's understanding of a technical part of the Twitter Android app was "wrong,” to which Musk replied and asked Frohnhoefer to elaborate.
The exchange followed and it eventually led to the firing of Frohnhoefer.
Reports in the past have suggested that Elon Musk has been revamping the way how Twitter works and is bringing in a lot of changes to the workplace.
