The highly anticipated Elden Ring features a number of brand new mechanics for fans of FromSoftware's previous games, including an Ash of War called Wild Strikes, which arguably makes fighting bosses too easy. Elden Ring is already the highest-rated FromSoftware game, with the developer introducing a striking new open-world for players to explore, and more and more ways to take on its trademark ruthless enemies. One of these new features is the Ashes of War. Players can utilize these items to grant new skills to their weapons and shields. One Ash of War, called Wild Strikes, can make short work of Bosses, with a relentless flurry of weapon strikes.
Previously in FromSofware games, players were restricted on the type of weapon they could use based on their stats. While logical, this feature made certain equipment useless for specific builds, or playstyles. Ashes of War, however, fixes this issue from previous games. These special items not only give new skills to weapons but also replace the affinity. While this can't be done on all equipment, this removes a lot of the restrictions for players, regardless of their starting class in Elden Ring. The game is filled with many different versions of these items for fans to discover, but using the Ash of War: Wild Strikes can be very effective against enemies.

Not all Ashes of War can be equipped on each weapon type. Players can apply the Ash of War: Wild Strikes to different weapons in Elden Ring, including curved swords and two-handed swords, as well as axes and hammers.
