FromSoftware has released patch 1.04 for Elden Ring, making extensive balance changes to the game as well as a ton of bug fixes aimed at improving stability and performance.
That’s not to say there’s no new content or features, either. Players are sure to welcome the ability to toggle auto-rotation of the camera on or off. Meanwhile, Patches, a fan-favorite trickster character who has appeared in From’s previous games, has had new “event phases” added, so you might want to visit him and find what that’s all about.
The bulk of the patch notes focus on balance changes, however, with a particular focus on strength- and faith-based builds. Sorceries and weapon skills receive a slew of buffs, and comparatively few nerfs. Colossal weapons get increased attack speed and two-handed attack damage, making them more viable.
All in all it seems like good news for most Tarnished. From even appears to have fixed a bug tied to the dreaded underwear that penalized some players.
