Elden Ring has been a major success since its launch in late February. Developer FromSoftware had kept details on this highly anticipated title close to the chest for some time, releasing little to no details after announcing Elden Ring at E3 2019. This led to great anticipation from players and fans as to what they could expect from the next game to come from the developers of Bloodborne and Sekiro.
Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of previous FromSoftware games such as the aforementioned Bloodborne and theSouls series, and written in collaboration with A Song of Fire and Ice/Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring tells the story of the Tarnished, exiled beings called back to the Lands Between to defeat the offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal and gather the Great Runes, shattered pieces of the legendary Elden Ring, an ancient artifact that holds power over the land.

The secrecy from FromSoftware after the game’s announcement only led to Elden Ring becoming even more anticipated by fans as the years went on, with the game even winning The Game Award for Most Anticipated Game two years in a row. Since re-unveiling the project in 2021, the game has seen several fan works be created to celebrate the game, and now another piece has been made that is catching players’ attention.
YouTuber and 3D artist Martin Nebelong recently shared on their Twitter page a new piece of fan art based on Elden Ring that was created entirely in Dreams, Media Molecule’s game creator engine for PS4 and PS5. Nebelong previously used Dreams to create fan art based on Elden Ring, though this piece takes more direct inspiration from the game’s official box art.
