Elden Ring, the latest RPG from Dark Souls' developers FromSoftware, takes place in the mysterious Lands Between. This dangerous world of golden trees, deathless monsters, and dark catacombs was upturned by the shattering of the titular Elden Ring, and players are tasked with reforging the legendary artifact.
One of the most interesting loot items that players can collect on their journey through the Lands Between are the Ashes of War, special powers that can be attached to weapons to grant them new abilities, and different attribute scalings. Ashes of War are divided by type, and the powerfulLion's Claw can only be placed on swords, axes, and hammers, with the exclusion of small weapons and thrusting swords.
Elden Ring: How To Get Hoarfrost Stomp Ash Of War
In order to find the Lion's Claw Ash of War, players must first have reached Elden Ring's Caelid region. This scarlet-rot infected land is littered with castles and forts occupied by Radahn's troops, and it's in one of these castles that players can loot the Ash of War.
The Lion's Claw can be found in the courtyard of Fort Gael, a castle in the west of Caelid, just across the bay from Limgrave.
To get into the Fort, players will need to approach it from the Fort Gael North Site of Grace. There are a few dangers along the way, including a knight armed with a magical bow who can fire storms of arrows from long range.
Once players have made their way around the west side of Fort Gael and over the walls, they'll be able to drop into the courtyard, where they'll find the Lion Guardian which drops the Lion's Claw.
