One talented Elden Ring dataminer has made another discovery that suggests players were once able to have very different mounts for traveling, including a huge dragonfly. Many of FromSoftware's previous titles contain massive levels and landscapes, but Elden Ring's world map is the developer's largest yet. Before the game's release, it was unclear exactly how vast and how long it would take players to complete the game. More than a month after its release, players have sunk hundreds of hours into it and are still making new discoveries.
Traversing the fictional landscape of Elden Ring's Lands Between would take a very long time to do on foot. Luckily players are gifted a magical steed named Torrent early in the game. Torrent is a wonderful companion that significantly speeds up travel time and negates poison damage across the game's many swamps. Traveling on horseback is a great way to explore the many stunning locations found throughout Elden Ring. However, a dataminer has discovered even more ways the developers may have intended players to be able to travel.

After inspecting Elden Ring's code, a dataminer has discovered that developers may have planned on allowing players to ride many of the game's creatures as mounts, including the giant dragonflies. Youtuber Zullie the Witch posted their findings demonstrating the many different creatures players could possibly ride.
