Developer FromSoftware is famous for creating games with unique, rich lore and settings alongside some combat that has caused rage in more than a few gamers over the years. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne have all met strong reviews from both users and critics and now FromSoftware's latest release, Elden Ring is seeing a similar surge of popularity. Currently, Elden Ring is sitting as one the highest rated games of all time, and has been receiving the highest awards possible from multiple gaming sources.
However, not everything has been perfect for the gamein the days following its launch. Elden Ring faced review bombing on Steam in the first few days after it dropped following complaints from PC gamers that Elden Ring was poorly optimized for the platform. Some gamers with high-end specs were reporting that they couldn't reach the frame rates that they would have otherwise expected, leading to many deeming the game as a poor release on PC. Now though, a new mod is looking to counter players' frame rate problems.

Though a patch for Elden Ring was released in the days following its launch which attempted to fix most of the performance issues, some players were still unhappy with the frames they were getting. Mostly, this was due to Elden Ring locking the frame rate of the game to be a maximum of 60FPS. This is nothing new for FromSoftware titles, as the most recent release by the studio before Elden Ring, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, also only allowed for play at 60FPS. A new Elden Ring mod though is looking to push past this barrier.
