After being on the market for just over a week, Dying Light 2 is getting its first piece of DLC. Techland promised players plenty of ongoing support for its latest release, and it's starting early with additional content for Dying Light 2 players.
Even though the game has not performed as well as Techland hoped from a critical standpoint, many players are loving the new entry into the zombie Parkour RPG genre. As such, gamers are excited about the DLC coming through Dying Light 2's 5-year content plan, meaning that the trailer for the first content drop are worth a look.

This first piece of DLC is called the «Authority Pack.» It'll consist of free gear for the player based on the aesthetics of the Peacekeepers, the authoritative faction in The City. The trailer offers players a look at what they're getting, and the pack will be split into 3 parts.
Part 1 will contain a chestpiece, Joggers, and sneakers, part 2 will contain headgear, bracers, and gloves, and finally, part 3 will give players a weapon to go with the rest of their new gear. At the time of writing, a date has only been given for part 1 of the «Authority Pack,» which is February 14th. The trailer doesn't give any insight as to what the stats for this new gear set will be. One thing that is for certain is that players won't complain about getting free DLC so early into Dying Light 2s lifecycle. With the game performing very well at launch commercially, selling over 3 million copies in its first weekend alone, many will likely be accessing this DLC.
Techland is clearly keeping its promise to support the game after launch, and it's rare that a game gets additional content of any kind so soon
