Since its release a few months ago, Dying Light 2 has been a success both in terms of its critical reception and its sales figures. Both critics and general audiences have praised Dying Light 2's gameplay, marking it a good step-up from its predecessor, and the game sold over 5 million units in just its first month.
To make the Dying Light 2 experience even better, Techland has updated the game consistently since release. While the majority of these updates have just tweaked some gameplay elements and added a few cosmetics for Dying Light players to equip, as well as one or two quests, the latest 1.3.0 update has gone above and beyond. It adds a whole new mode, some much-needed co-op changes, and more technical fixes that improve the game quite a bit on next-gen consoles.

The biggest and probably the best addition included in Dying Light 2's 1.3.0 update is a brand-new New Game+ mode. Upon finishing Dying Light 2's main story, players can now access this mode, which throws them all the way back to the start of the game with all of their upgrades and equipment.
This New Game+ mode is surprisingly substantial, adding 30 new Inhibitors to Dying Light 2's open world and switching up the placement of some enemies to give seasoned players a tougher challenge. In this mode, an enemy's AI difficulty now scales with the player's level. Starting New Game+ will also add a platinum objective to the game's parkour challenges, and a new legendary weapon tier will become available. For those who have spent dozens of hours in Dying Light 2 already, there might be enough new content here to justify a replay.
