Deviation Games was founded by former Treyarch lead and Call of Duty director Jason Blundell, along with another former CoD dev, Dave Anthony. Back in 2021, it was announced that Deviation had partnered with Sony to create a PlayStation exclusive game. While we still don't know what that new IP will be, it appears that Blundell is no longer involved, as he has left the studio.
In a statement made on Twitter (thanks, Eurogamer), Deviation Games has confirmed that Jason Blundell has left the studio, and that they "appreciate the contributions Jason has made and we wish him the best in his future endeavours". As for what those endeavours are, Blundell has not put out any word on what he will be doing next, whether it's joining a new studio or taking some time off. No reason has been given for his departure either.

The statement continues to say that CEO Dave Anthony will continue in a leadership role and has also assumed the role of Game Director. The studio has also brought in some big names to make up for Blundell's departure, most notably Louis Castle, who has joined as a senior vice president of development. Younger readers may not know who he is, but Castle was the co-founder of Westwood Studios and the creator of the iconic Command & Conquer series. He's also won two Lifetime Achievement awards for his work in the industry.
Joining him are two former God of War devs, Jonathan Hawkins and Dean Rymer, along with "Call of Duty: Black Ops guru", Tony Flame.
