EA reveals that its upcoming Dead Space remake utilize a one shot camera approach, similarly to 2018's God of War. With the first game releasing in 2008, plenty of fans were excited to hear that they would be returning to the gruesome horror of Dead Space in the form of a remake. Following the initial reveal of the Dead Space remake, which is being developed by EA Motive, the company which previously worked on Star Wars: Squadrons and Star Wars: Battlefront 2, things went quiet on the title for some time.
However, once EA had confirmed that Dead Space would be coming in January 2023, it has shown off more and more of the horror title. While the remake isn't seeking to depart too much from the original, it does contain some changes, such as Motive's new ALIVE system. The ALIVE system inDead Space will track Isaac's movement and behaviors in a new way, making his dialogue more labored when he's just been in combat, for example, or showing his fatigue in different movement animations.
EA to Reveal More on Dead Space Remake Soon
Alongside these new mechanics, another change is coming in the Dead Space remake. As outlined in a recent blog post from EA, where the company outlined how dedicated it was to holding up the legacy of the original Dead Space, it was also unveiled that the remake would not contain any loading screens. Only when a player dies to a Necromorph will they be faced with a loading screen, and for the rest of the game they will be free to explore it at their leisure.
