There is rarely a moment where Dead by Daylight is not in the middle of some upcoming content update, and this week’s update patch has surely been a sizable one with many implications on how players may approach the game moving forward. For example, base kits have now been changed significantly for both survivors and killers, making certain meta perks less effective in Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight’s Year 7 Roadmap teases when players can expect new content such as Chapters, Tomes, in-game events, and other structural gameplay implementations that Behaviour Interactive plans to add. Further, Behaviour’s sixth-year anniversary revealed that Dead by Daylight will receive a new Resident Evil Chapter at some point in 2022, which narrows down when players can expect it if they assess the roadmap’s schedule of content. But until then, more information will be shared sooner than later at an event showcase from the game’s developer next month.

Behaviour recently announced Behaviour Beyond, a new showcase from the developer as a celebration kickoff for its 30th anniversary. The showcase is set to air on Wednesday, August 3, at 1:30 PM EST, but no other details have been shared about what exactly it may entail or what may be discussed during it. Soon afterward, however, it wasannounced that more information about Dead by Daylight’s second Resident Evil Chapter will be revealed during this Behaviour Beyond showcase, such as what the “W” stands for in Project W.
