Dan Brown, author of the bestselling The Da Vinci Code series, will write an animated film adaptation of his children's book Wild Symphony. Brown is well known for his wildly popular series of novels about his original character Robert Langdon, a professor of religious iconology and symbology, who travels the world searching for treasures and solving mysteries. Three of those books have been adapted into feature films with Tom Hanks in the starring role, and a fourth was adapted for television.
Now, The Wrap reports that Dan Brown has been tapped to write an animated film adaptation of his own children's book, Wild Symphony. Released in 2020, the picture book follows the diminutive Maestro Mouse who travels the world to meet his many animal friends of land and sea and experience their music. Brown is developing the adaptation as a musical inspired by the Disney classic Fantasia, with orchestral pieces written by Brown himself. The film will be produced at MGM with writer/director/producer Akiva Goldsman under his Weed Road Pictures production company.
