Cyberpunk 2077 is on sale for half price over the weekend, marking the release of its tie-in anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The sale ends Tuesday, September 20, and seems to be an attempt to bring in new players who are discovering Night City for the first time through the Netflix show.
Until Tuesday, you can pick up Cyberpunk 2077 on all platforms (except Google Stadia) for £24.99. It's even a touch cheaper on PlayStation, going for £19.99 until September 28. Just be careful if you pick it up for last-gen consoles, as you won't be able to play the DLC, Phantom Liberty, when it launches

The sale appears to be a success, with the player count on Steam alone tripling since this time last month. As we reported earlier today, Cyberpunk 2077 has shot up to be the seventh most played single-player game on the service, amassing a 24-hour peak of 61,449 - the highest since February 2021.
If you have or are planning to pick up a current-gen console, you can still start playing on PS4 and Xbox One and transfer your saves over when you've got the new console. In the meantime, however, you won't be able to experience the current-gen upgrade included with patch 1.5, or the DLC when it launches. It is worth bearing in mind though that smart delivery will only work if you get your new console from the same company, so don't go buying Cyberpunk for PS4 if you're planning to grab an Xbox Series X. If you do, you'll have to buy the game again to get the new content.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Google Stadia. You can watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix.
