Corsair’s first gaming laptop is finally on sale, and it will set you back at least $2,699.
The PC accessory maker launched the Voyager a1600 today through Corsair’s website(Opens in a new window) and via major retailers, including Best Buy(Opens in a new window). Customers can also order one through Corsair's Origin business with a customized backplate(Opens in a new window).
The Voyager 1600 is designed for gamers, content creators, and streamers looking for a high-end machine packed with cutting-edge features. One of them is the 16-inch IPS screen, which has a high 240Hz refresh rate and a 2,560-by-1,600 resolution.
In addition, the aluminum-built laptop comes with an LCD-powered display under the main screen that contains 10 programmable shortcut keys, although owners have the option to disable the display. The laptop's RGB-lit keyboard also uses Cherry MX ultra-low profile(Opens in a new window) switches for a satisfying typing experience similar to a mechanical keyboard.
Additional perks include a 1080p30 web camera, four built-in microphones with noise cancellation, and an SDXC card reader, along with Wi-Fi 6E. In "quiet mode," owners can expect six to eight hours on a single charge; the battery is replaceable. In extreme mode for high frame rates, the battery life will drop to two to three hours.
The laptop also contains two USB 4.0 ports with Thunderbolt 3 compatibility, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, an a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port.
The $2,699 model comes with AMD’s Ryzen 7 6800HS, an 8-core, 16-thread CPU processor with a max clock speed at 4.4GHz. For graphics, the laptop uses an AMD Radeon RX 6800M mobile GPU.
