Castlevania fans may have just received the Castlevania Dominus Collection during the August 2024 Nintendo Direct but they're already thinking about the next dream collection.
Nintendo announced the imminent release of the Castlevania Dominus Collection during its August 27 showcase to the delight of many fans. It collected Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia alongside a remake of Haunted Castle.
This put some very hard to get games, mostly from the Nintendo DS, on a modern platform, and fans are already pulling some other entries together to manifest a similar collection.
"Someone is already trying to manifest this into reality and honestly I'm here for it," said 8bitNudist on Reddit, sharing a fan concept for something called the Castlevania Dimensions Collection, which includes several other older games from the Nintendo 64, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, and more.
VaporDream1985 shared the box art for Castlevania Requiem. "Alright Konami. You know what to do next," they said. Requiem was a collection of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood released on PlayStation 4 in 2018 but has shown no signs of releasing elsewhere.
"I straight up think they're gonna make a new collection with Rondo and Symphony of the Night included instead of porting Requiem," said a user in the comments. "Yep, I honestly do think that's what's next," said another. "Symphony of the Night, Rondo of Blood, Castlevania Chronicles, Dracula X Chronicles, and Vampire Hunter."
Castlevania has gone somewhat forgotten by Konami in recent years, with no new mainline game having been released since 2014. It's supplemented this by releasing the various collections, however, and fans are perhaps more excited for these than the prospect of a brand new game.
