Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil Showcase will be happening on October 20. Given the high praise of the eighth installment in the series, which went down as one of the best horror games of 2021, as well as fans anticipating the remake of RE4, the flagship survival games seem to be at the peak of their popularity at the moment. With Halloween just around the corner, now seems like the perfect opportunity to tease more content.
Recently, Capcom released a trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil Showcase, though at the time there was no indication of exactly when it would be taking place. Fans have since wondering what the developer has in store and waiting for a concrete date. Much of the what's on everyone's lips will be the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 8, which will be dropping on October 28. In the meantime, the presentation will be commencing just a week before that.
Capcom Working on Resident Evil 8 Fix After Recent Update Causes Crashes
That's according to the official Resident Evil Twitter account, which recently said the event will be going ahead on October 20. The times have also been revealed, and things will be kicking off at 3:00 PM PDT, 6 PM EDT, and 11 PM BST. The tweet is accompanied by a 30-second teaser trailer that gives some information about what fans can expect. Capcom also says people are welcome to stream and watch the event on their own channels.
The showcase will primarily put focus on Resident Evil Village's upcoming Gold Edition, which will feature the Shadows of Rose expansion, a new third-person mode, and new playable characters in Mercenaries mode. As well as this, the developer will demonstrate some new footage from the eagerly awaited remake of Resident Evil 4. The trailer also says
