The official account simply tweeted a hashtag with the game’s title, a picture of its logo with the signature green hue, and a sentence saying a “new era” was coming for the series. The post didn’t contain any bits about the game or the new experience that’s also in the works.
There’s not much other official information about the game, but it is likely about to all burst open, given all the leaks and reporting. Some professional football players have seen the game behind closed doors and some influencers have reportedly been able to play the game. Insider Tom Henderson also said a reveal was planned for late May, which seems to line up with these teases.
Henderson also had a detailed report about the game in November 2021. In it, he said that the game will feature “weapon jamming, a new morality system, gore, revamped AI, and more.” Video Games Chronicle also revealed (alongside Henderson) that it was in September 2021, which was well before Activision spoke about it. The game, according to VGC, will be based around Columbian drug cartels and grittier than the 2019 entry.
