Activision has begun teasing a Terminator crossover for Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone.
The crossover will take place in Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune, which will be live in both games on June 22, following a Vanguard update today and a Warzone update tomorrow at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST.
“Looks like some mercenaries scored an unusual haul,” read a tweet from the official Call of Duty account earlier today. “Some precious metals shine brighter in the darkness. Who can identify?”
The message was accompanied by an image showing a pile of gold bars and a lone silver one, which was later revealed to be composed of mimetic polyalloy, the liquid metal used by Skynet to make Terminator models including the T-1000, which are capable of shapeshifting and near-perfect mimicry.

Terminator will be the latest in a series of Call of Duty movie crossovers. Last year, 80s action heroes John Rambo and John McClane joined Warzone, Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty Mobile in Rambo and Die Hard DLC.
And last month, Warzone’s Operation Monarch event saw movie monsters King Kong and Godzilla unleashed on Caldera in a limited-time mode.
Headlining Warzone’s Season 4 update is a new Resurgence battle royale map called Fortune’s Keep.
Updates to Caldera include reducing the vegetation on the island by 50%, resulting in improved visibility, and the addition of Storage Zone, the complex that previously appeared in Warzone’s original Verdansk map.
Vanguard is also getting two new multiplayer maps and a new Zombies map in the form of an updated version of Shi No Numa, which originally appeared in Call of Duty: World at War.
