In many ways, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands feels more like its own game than another Borderlands title. While the spin-off retains several mechanics from the main series, such as the golden chest for Shift Keys and the loot-focused shooter gameplay, its new features are where it truly shines. Unfortunately, it is hard to imagine most of these features being carried over to the heavily anticipated Borderlands 4 whenever it arrives.
While some Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands mechanics can absolutely be brought over, such as the Chaos Chamber endgame content, others are tied deeply into the game’s fantasy setting and would not work within the Borderlands universe. As such, Borderlands 4 could end up leaving a lot of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands coolest features behind, something that could make it a lot less enjoyable to fans of the spin-off. While Borderlands 4 does not need Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands new features to be great, it would still be a shame to see them abandoned.
