At The Game Awards, Bandai Namco has announced that it will publish Blue Protocol when it is released outside of Japan in 2023.
Blue Protocol is Bandai Namco’s anime-inspired MMORPG where players can create their own custom character and choose between five classes. The developers are calling Blue Protocol an anime come to life.
The MMO was co-developed by Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios and is set in the world of Regnas, which is facing the brink of destruction. Players will harness a power called Flux to defeat foes and team up with allies to face the oncoming threats.
The five classes include Blade Warden, Twin Striker, Keen Strider, Spell Weaver, and Foe Breaker.
Amazon Games tells IGN that Blue Protocol began development around the spring of 2015, meaning this project has been in the works for several years before finally coming out in 2023.
This will be the latest live-service online game published by Amazon Games following titles like New World, which was developed by Amazon Game Studios, and Lost Ark which was developed by Korean company Smilegate.
