Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania-style game that came out in June 2019 on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The game was developed by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi so it's considered a spiritual sucessor to the beloved series. Igarashi left Konami in 2014 and Bloodstained was born from fans requesting a new title in the style of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - and a Kickstarter inspired by fan wishes.
