Warning! Spoilers ahead for Black Clover chapter 331!
The moment in Black Clover when Asta finally realizes that Licita from Liebe's visions is actually his mother couldn't have been less underwhelming, especially after all the hype from previous chapters. But after closer inspection, the reaction actually makes a lot of sense.
Before the «big» reveal, readers have known for about a year now that Licita is Asta's long-lost mother and that she had been killed by the King of Devils Lucifero when protecting the reject devil Liebe. But for reasons unknown, Liebe has been keeping this a secret from Asta, even after joining forces and contracting together so they could form a devil union as equals. This created the impression that when Asta finally found out the truth, the young magic-less mage would most likely feel betrayed by Liebe, splintering their relationship and making it impossible for Asta to leverage Liebe's anti-magic.

When Liebe's memories of Licita entered Asta's mind and Lucifero greatly implied that Asta and Licita were similar in chapter 328, readers believed this was the moment when Asta would finally put two and two together. And he did. But in chapter 331, fans only see Asta after the fact, and he's completely fine. After the twist about his mother is revealed Asta says, "Maybe it was just in your memories, but because of you, I got to see my mom. I was never mad at her for abandoning me or anything but just finding out that she loved me made me really happy!!" In other words, there is no conflict or anger, nor is there a scene where Asta's mind is blown when he realizes this woman Licita he just saw is actually his mother.
