Microsoft's September update for Xbox is bringing with it tons of changes to the UI, party features, and expanded options for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Though September is coming to an end, this month's patch and the fixes it includes may give Xbox players on consoles and PC more reasons to return before October begins.
Since the Xbox Series X/S consoles were released, they have been regularly updated with things such as a 4K revamped dashboard, optimizations to the pin system, and improvements to the app integration. Like many of the adjustments made in earlier patches, the September update is inspired by feedback from the Xbox community that has been observed and implemented by Team Xbox. The September patch is available today and given that most Xbox Series X/S units automatically update, Xbox fans may already be seeing the alterations from Team Xbox that streamlines menu navigation and personalizes the experience a bit more.
Xbox Testing Helpful New Storage Feature
The September update includes an overhaul to the Xbox gaming library, something that has received changes in the past and continues to evolve as Microsoft improves the platform. Because many Xbox owners have expanded their storage options beyond what's offered in the base consoles, the September patch also has new storage and installation menu selections that may make locating where a game or app is downloaded a bit simpler. Although the initial Xbox Elite Wireless Controller will perform in the September update as it has in prior months, some quality-of-life adjustments have been made to the Series 2 gamepad.
