A couple of relics from the '90s are finally getting their much-anticipated comeback now that a new trailer for Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe has been released, with the duos’ second movie set to land on Paramount Plus later this month.
Beavis and Butt-Head first became famous during the '90s as one of MTV's most popular cartoons, part of a batch that also included Daria, The Maxx, Migraine Boy, and even Aeon Flux. However, for a while now creator Mike Judge has entertained the possibility of the pair getting a second revival. After all, Beavis and Butt-Head's last season came out on MTV in 2011, with recent rumors suggesting a new streaming run could follow, though that will come after the raunchy friends’ second feature film.

The premise for the Paramount Plus movie seems as simple and absurd as the series always was. Following both guys after the events of their first movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, the duo is now sentenced to “space camp” as per the film’s synopsis. Naturally, it doesn’t take long for these two to get in trouble after they somehow manage to go to space and then time travel all the way to 2022, where these relics clearly don’t fit in with modern times. That said, neither do their alien-like versions for that matter, but fans will have to wait until the film drops on Paramount Plus on June 23.
The humor looks pretty much on point, as it's practically what anyone would expect out of these two. As to be expected, there are as many 69 jokes as possible being crammed into the self-labelled dumbest sci-fi movie ever made.
