Bayonetta 3 has received a major update which lowers the difficulty of some stages.
Version 1.2.0 was released on Tuesday and makes a number of adjustments to the game’s combat – especially Viola’s moves – while also fixing various bugs.
It’s the game’s Niflheim challenge stages, however, which have received arguably the most notable change, with seven of them having their conditions changed to make them easier.
The hidden Old Picture Book stage, which serves as a teaser for the upcoming Bayonetta Origins, has also been made easier to unlock.
Previously, players had to to buy the Old Picture Book from the game’s Gates of Hell shop, and would then have to find three hidden rainbow keys before they could open it and unlock the level.
Following the update, the keys are now automatically given to the player, meaning they only need to buy the book to access the stage.
