Krafton will be hosting its first Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports tournament starting next month. It has kicked off registrations for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Open Challenge (BMOC) 2022 esports tournament and has shared details about the format and prize pool of the tournament. The prize pool stands at Rs 2,00,00,000. Moreover, players who secure the top spot will get an invitational pass to the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS). Krafton has revealed that BMOC 2022 in-game qualifiers will take place between April 4 to April 10. Qualified teams will then move ahead to the main esports tournament that will take place between April 21 to May 15. The company will be hosting its BMPS 2022 tournament between May 19 to June 12.
During the in-game qualifiers, registered teams will be required to play 15 matches each, and the top 10 matches will be considered for evaluation. The top 512 teams will then qualify for the tournament. BMOC 2022 will have four rounds, where teams will be divided into groups and each group will play 5 to 6 matches.
