Although tons of Wordle clones and copycats have spawned from its popularity, there is only one original. This is the NYT's version. Everything in this article will be about this version; other Wordle-type games will have different answers and may have slightly different rules. But here is how to play the original Wordle:
5-Letter Words Starting With RH
First, head to the Wordle website. Next, choose a starting word. It should be a five-letter English word that is not a proper noun. Wordle answers also are almost always American versions of words and not plural nouns ending in an S. Also, good starting words usually contain several commonly used letters in Wordle puzzles. Once a good starting word has been chosen, type it into the website and press enter.
After that, continuing guessing new words that fit the clues given and get more hints with those words. Players win by guessing the correct answer and lose by running out of the six given turns. Puzzles reset every day at 12:00AM local time. Since there is only one puzzle per day, fans of the game might look for one of the many Wordle clones to help scratch that word-puzzle itch.
