Atlas Fallen was just revealed at GamesCom's Opening Night Live, showcasing a fallen desert world filled with dangerous beasts. Luckily, players will have shapeshifting weapons and magical abilities to fight back against these monsters and usher in a new era for humanity.
From Focus Home Entertainment and Deck 13, Atlas Fallen will offer both co-op and a solo story campaign. Your character will be powered by ancient magics that allow you to skate across the desert sands at high speeds. You'll also be given the aforementioned shapeshifting weapon to always have the right tool for the right job.

The world of Atlas Fallen will certainly sound familiar to Elden Ring fans, what with a religious order that collapses thanks to the fickle nature of gods, but the gameplay seems to have more in common with Monster Hunter. The trailer showed us fights against large, imposing beasts that rise from the sands and require an enormous wallop to bring down. It seems like defending humanity is the name of the game as the two nameless characters keep these beasts from attacking a caravan.
We know little else about Atlas Fallen, but we do know that it'll be for current-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) as well as PC via Steam, and it's coming sometime next year. Pre-orders aren't available yet, but they will be soon, and they'll offer fans some sort of bonus, although those details haven't been disclosed yet.
For more, keep an eye on the Atlas Fallen store page or wishlist the game on Steam.
