Rumors suggest that Assassin's Creed Infinity will finally bring the historical sci-fi franchise to Feudal Japan. While little is known about the upcoming title, Ubisoft has confirmed that it will be a live-service game with multiple different time periods. One fan recently imagined an Assassin's Creed Japan game in UE5, and it looks stunning, and insiders suggest this concept may actually become a reality.
After the game was first rumored back in 2021, Ubisoft officially acknowledged Assassin's Creed Infinity while keeping details about the game under wraps. The massive title will allegedly include many different settings, with Ubisoft counting to add even more stories and historical time periods to explore after launch. Various different locations and events have been rumored for inclusion in Assassin's Creed Infinity, and apparently each story will feature a slightly different gameplay style too. The game may also remake or revisit older Assassin's Creed settings, according to some rumors. Despite early reports that the game will be free-to-play, Ubisoft has confirmed that AC Infinity is not free-to-play like some other live-service games.

On the latest episode of Jeff Grubb's Game Mess (via YouTube), industry insiders Jeff Grubb and Mike Minotti suggest that Assassin's Creed Infinity will include Feudal Japan. Gameplay in this section of the game will apparently follow the series' recent action RPG installments like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Valhalla. While Grubb does suggest that Japan could actually be visited in the next Assassin's Creed game following Infinity, he believes that it will likely be part of Ubisoft's massive live-service
