Apple MacBook Air with M2 chip spells big trouble for Windows laptops!
Apple is gearing up to launch the MacBook Air with the latest M2 chip. And as per the touted upgrades and features of the new Apple Macbook, hopes are high that it may well bulldoze rivals, especially Microsoft Windows laptops. In fact, the redesigned MacBook Air has left some Windows laptop manufacturers quite worried! The worry is all about the likelihood of Apple Macbook Air laptops sales. It is expected that the laptop's sales will be outstanding. These may be so high that the laptop may well eat into the profits of Intel-powered Windows laptops. This comes from some industry sources cited by a Digitimes report.
"A Wintel brand vendor pointed out that at a price point of $1,000 to $1,500, the MacBook Air will crowd out other high-end notebooks (sic)," the Digitimes report claims. Here, the report refers to Windows laptops powered by Intel processors with the word "Wintel". The report further mentions that the latest upgrades to the M2 processor along with the camera lens, and the casing has made the new MacBook Air a bit pricier than before but comes within an acceptable range for consumers.
However, the report sees the current generation of MacBooks finally within the right price and performance to start attracting those who were previously disinterested in purchasing a Mac system. The report also emphasizes the concerns of Windows laptop makers who are worrying about weakening consumer sentiment driven by inflation and economic twists.
