WandaVision star Emma Caulfield Ford revealed that she would be reprising her role from the Marvel Studios miniseries in the upcoming project Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The otherwise exciting news was made bittersweet, as the star simultaneously confirmed a severe diagnosis.
WandaVision follows the misadventures of Wanda Maximoff, a former ally of the Avengers with powerful Chaos Magic at her beck and call, based on the Marvel Comics character commonly known as the Scarlet Witch. In the miniseries, Wanda and her husband Vision are trying to live a normal life and hide their powers from the neighbors while raising their two kids in Westview, New Jersey, until reality starts to break shift around them, uncovering a far more sinister and emotionally charged situation than the audience first perceives. WandaVision and its stars were a hit, garnering several Emmy nominations after the miniseries aired.

One of the most popular characters from the miniseries was Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness, who played the role of an overbearing neighbor until she revealed herself as the main antagonist of the show. This popularity led to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige hinting at her impending return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which materialized in the form of the upcoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos project. While the titular role was obviously going to be taken up once more by Hahn, an interview granted to Vanity Fair revealed that fans will also get to see more of Caulfield Ford's Sara Proctor, who plays the role of Dottie when under Wanda's spell.
