New footage from Hogwarts Legacy has been shown during an online tech event.
Software company Autodesk has been hosting the Autodesk Vision Series, in which game developers give presentations explaining how Autodesk’s software is used during development.
One of these presentations, which took place on Wednesday, explored how Autodesk Maya and MotionBuilder are used to bring Hogwarts Legacy’s cinematics to life.
As part of the presentation, a new cutscene was shown in which two students watch dark wizards attempting to restrain a hippogriff.
The presentation also showed the tools the development team use to create characters in the game, as well as another look at the in-game character creation screen.

Hogwarts Legacy still doesn’t have a set release date, but Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment maintains that it will be released at the end of 2022.
Last week an official art book for the game received an updated release date of December 6 – this could hint at a potential release date given that Warner Bros‘ other major game this year, Gotham Knights, has a similar art book due out on the game’s release date of October 25.
While official news on Hogwarts Legacy has been hard to come by, eager fans have been poring over old footage and the game’s official website to try to find any new information.
One fan even managed to access hidden files on the Hogwarts Legacy website, revealing the contents of the Collector’s and Deluxe Editions of the game.
