90 Day Fiancé fans have often wondered if Usman Umar, aka Sojaboy, is really famous in Nigeria--and his girlfriend, Kim Menzies, has finally solved the mystery. When Usman made his debut on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4, he was already introduced as a hip-hop sensation in Nigeria. Usman’s popularity amongst his female fans was what led to many fights between him and his ex-wife Lisa Hamme. Even Usman’s mysterious ex-girlfriend Zara supposedly split with him because she couldn’t handle his fans following him and commenting on Sojaboy’s Instagram. Then why is it that fans think Usman is lying about being an international superstar?
Before his comeback on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 as the “King of Africa” and Kim’s own Michael Jackson, Usman admitted to using the show for fame. Lisa claimed Usman had “played a game” as he was “so desperate” to progress his music career that he had scammed her. In June 2020, Usman defended his intentions by revealing he didn’t only do the show for fame because Usman wouldn’t have married just any random woman to be in the spotlight. Interestingly, Usman also accused90 Day Fiancé of taking advantage of him in return by asking, “Are you trying to tell me that TLC did not use me too?”

While Kim did not comment on the reality show using Usman’s name to grow their ratings, she did admit in a recent interview with ET that he is “big” in Nigeria.
