Microsoft has restructured 343 Industries’ leadership team following the departure of studio head Bonnie Ross.
Ross announced on Monday that she was leaving the Halo studio after 15 years in charge to attend to a family medical issue.
Following her departure, Microsoft has confirmed that 343’s head of production, Pierre Hintze, is to become studio head effective immediately.
The company also told Windows Central that the studio’s senior leadership team is being expanded with new roles.
Bryan Koski, who previously headed up marketing for Halo, will become GM of the franchise, while business, operations and esports head Elizabeth Van Wyck will oversee business and operations.
“After more than 28 years in gaming at Microsoft, including 15 years leading 343 Industries and Halo through its most ambitious steps forward, Bonnie Ross will be leaving Microsoft and spending more time with her family,” Microsoft said.
“We are thankful for her leadership of 343 during which the team launched Halo 4, Halo 5, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the Halo television series, and Halo Infinite. We wish her all the best.”
343 Industries recently confirmed a fresh round of Halo Infinite content delays, as well as the cancellation of the game’s local split-screen co-op mode.
Campaign co-op, the Forge beta and Season 3 have all been pushed back, the studio confirmed in a development update this month.
Campaign co-op, which was previously targeting an August launch, will now arrive in November. So too will the Forge open beta, which was previously scheduled to arrive in September. And the game’s third season of content, Echoes Within, has been delayed until March 2023.
