Robert Duvall Reflects on His Career After Starring in The Godfather
The Godfather actor Robert Duvall reflects on his career after making the groundbreaking film. It's been 50 years since The Godfather first hit theatres, and it has since been widely considered one of the greatest films ever made. Helmed by Francis Ford Coppola and based upon the novel by Mario Puzo, The Godfather tells the story of an aging patriarch of an organized crime family, Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando), in New York, who transfers power to his reluctant youngest son Michael (Al Pacino) in the middle of a gang war. Upon its release, The Godfather was acclaimed by both critics and audiences, and went on to be nominated for 11 Academy Awards, winning three, including Best Picture.
