The Batman star Jeffrey Wright thinks the new franchise should create its own villains outside the comics. The latest cinematic tale of the Dark Knight is finally coming to theaters next month as Matt Reeves' highly anticipated reboot will feature Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne. While The Batman will skip the origin story, Pattinson's iteration will still be relatively new in the role with the story focusing on Bruce's second year as a crime fighter. With the start of a new Bat-universe comes fresh iterations of various characters from Bruce's mythology. The Batman will primarily focus on Bruce's battle against Edward Nashton, a.k.a. The Riddler, played by Paul Dano.
