I Know What You Did Last Summer Showrunner Reveals Cancelled Season 2 Plans
Sara Goodman, showrunner of I Know What You Did Last Summer, explains what would have happened in season 2 if the show hadn't been canceled. Amazon Prime's horror series, based on the 1973 Lois Duncan novel and 1997 film of the same name, premiered back in October 2021. Development of the show was first announced in 2019, with Neal H. Moritz and James Wan attached as executive producers, and plans to move forward were confirmed a year later. Serving as a modern take on the familiar story, I Know What You Did Last Summer follows a young group of friends who find themselves stalked by a mysterious killer one year after they killed someone in a car accident and covered it up. Madison Iseman leads the series' cast, with Bill Heck, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, and Brooke Bloom all taking on main roles as well.
