Throughout his history in DC Comics, Batman has been so laser-focused on the mission at hand that he often sacrifices his own happiness, but Tim Drake's Robin coming out as bisexual could finally teach Bruce Wayne that he doesn't have to make that sacrifice. The seeds for such a drastic realization for Bruce were first planted when Tim Drake came out as bisexual during the «Sum of Our Parts» portion of Batman: Urban Legends #6 by Meghan Fitzmartin, Belen Ortega, and Alejandro Sanchez. Tim's budding friendship with Bernard naturally blossoms into a romance when the issue concludes with both men deciding to go on a date, which quickly turns into an official partnership.
