The Hardy Boys' Magic Obsessions Is Hurting Season 2
Hulu’s The Hardy Boys is proving to be an engaging and fun adaptation of the book series, but the show’s success is in danger of being weakened by the plot's obsession with magic. The original book series first debuted in 1927 and follows teen brothers Frank and Joe as they solve mysteries, mostly in their hometown of Bridgeport. Much like their popular counterpart, Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys have been featured in many adaptations, and Hulu’s version doesn’t disappoint. However, an overload of magic in the second season has become distracting and needs to be fixed if the third season is to preserve the show’s alignment with the source material.
