Although it has yet to have its full release, is one of those indie games that looks like it could reshape a genre. It is also an indie game that has been in early access for so long that it has built up its own community as if it was a fully released game that has been around for years, but Iron Gate Studio has yet to finish its work on the title.
After releasing the Ashlands, there is only one major biome left to add to the game: the Deep North. is now closer than ever to its 1.0 version, having been in its early access state for well over three years and a full release in 2025 seems more than likely.
The game already has possibly hundreds of hours of content with varied building tools and plenty of deadly biomes to explore.
It is set to be one of the best survival games around, and while it won't challenge 's monopoly on the genre, because nothing probably will, it has already started to carve out its own, respectable section in the playerbase.
Iron Gate Studio has kept its audience updated on its progress on with occasional blog posts. The latest blogpost on the website reveals where Iron Gate is focusing its efforts after its Bog Witch update, which went back to adding enemies to the Swamp Biome.
