The Dying Light series has been a huge moneymaker for Techland for the past decade, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Polish company intends to keep investing in the IP for the foreseeable future.
Techland is celebrating Dying Light’s 10th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, the developer has also confirmed that it has multiple Dying Light projects planned.
In a press release, it stated that it intends to “continue the series with multiple unannounced projects”. What those unannounced projects will end up looking like is anyone’s guess at the moment.
One would imagine that Techland will want to release a Dying Light 3 sooner rather than later, but continued post-launch support for Dying Light 2 Stay Human isn’t out of the question either (especially considering how long Dying Light 1 was supported).
Beyond additional upcoming titles, Techland says it is also looking to expand the Dying Light IP with “new board games, exclusive merchandise, original webcomic series, and more.” Meanwhile, Summer 2025 will see the launch of standalone spinoff Dying Light: The Beast for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
