Mebius will announce the first in a series of console ports for the STARFISH-SD-developed dungeon RPG series Elminage in mid to late February, the company teased.
The Elminage series consists of the following titles: Elminage: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods (PS2, 2008) Elminage DS Remix: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods (DS, 2008) Elminage ORIGINAL: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods (PSP, 2011) Elminage ORIGINAL: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods (3DS, 2016) Elminage ORIGINAL: Priestess of Darkness and The Ring of the Gods (PC, 2017) Elminage II: Twin Goddesses and The Land of Destiny (PSP, 2009) Elminage II DS Remix: Twin Goddesses and The Land of Destiny (DS, 2010) Elminage II: Twin Goddesses and The Land of Destiny (3DS, 2017) Elminage III: Dark Apostle and The Palace of the Sun (PSP, 2011) Elminage III: Dark Apostle and The Palace of the Sun (3DS, 2017) Elminage Gothic (PSP, 2012) Elminage Gothic 3D Remix (3DS, 2013) Elminage Gothic (PC, 2014) Elminage Ibun: Ame no Mihashira (PSP, 2012) Elminage Ibun: Ame no Mihashira Kai (3DS, 2014) According to Mebius, the console ports of the numbered series will be based on the 3DS versions, with adjustments made for easier playability.
The first title is scheduled for release in the early summer in Japan. While Mebius did not announce which title it plans on porting first, the company held a poll back in May 2024 asking users which Elminage game they would like to see brought back.
Elminage II came out on top with an overwhelming 66.9 percent of the votes, followed by Elminage III at 14.4 percent, Elminage Gothic at 10 percent, and Elminage Ibun: Ame no Mihashira at 8.7 percent.
Then, in June 2024, Mebius held another poll asking users which platforms they would like to play Elminage on. Consoles won with 39.8 percent of the votes, followed by at 36.6 percent, and smartphones and handheld game devices at 23.7 percent.
