UPS Manufacturing Sporting Nintendo reports information

Switch 2 Screen Reportedly Upgraded To 1080p

thegamer.com

Nintendo's next console, commonly referred to as the Switch 2, will reportedly have a screen resolution of 1080p in handheld mode.

The screen will also apparently be eight inches bigger than the Switch OLED, as Nintendo seemingly focuses on improving the experience for those who play on the go.

This new information isn't official, but comes to us courtesy of the third-party Switch controller manufacturer, Mobapad. In a post spotted by ReserEra user --R, Mobapad has given us one of the biggest breakdowns of the Switch 2's capabilities yet, as the company says it's already working on its own controllers for the console.

Mobapad shared this information on the website Bilibili, going over several details about the Switch 2. It claims to have obtained this "first-hand information" itself but doesn't go into much more detail than that, so it's worth taking these claims with a pinch of salt.

Some of the details, however, line up with what we've heard from other sources. Here, Mobapad also says that the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with original Switch games, and that it will sport new Joy-Cons that connect to the console magnetically.
